WATCH NOW: ONE LAST TIME

In these last couple of months, I’ve been working on a short film and I am so happy that I can finally share it with you all!
I always wanted to direct and produce my own film.
The only problem was, I wasn’t confident enough in myself. So I held back from doing it. But something changed last summer. I’m not a big fan of reading, but for once, I actually wanted to read something.
I had an app on my phone called Wattpad. On this application, people write and publish their own stories and writings. As I was scrolling — hoping that something catches my eyes — I came across this particular story called To The Man Who Was Never Mine which was written by Trisha Ann Santiago Sison.
Once I started reading it, I didn’t want it to end.
I felt a real connection with the story, because let’s be honest, sometimes love can be a disastrous mess! I mean, how many times did you fall for the wrong person?
So I contacted the writer and I asked her if she would give me permission to use her story for a short film, and she said YES! I think that both the story writer and myself were over the moon at the time.
I started brain-storming and planning. I created a storyboard and I thought about what kind of people or actors I wanted in my film. I had to think and reflect on what I wanted to portray to the audience.
I wanted to plan this film around a song I wrote some time ago for my album. In my opinion both my song and the story fit gracefully together. And now that I got to see the final product, I strongly feel that they were meant to be together. It was destiny!
The film is about a very young girl who falls for a much older guy. And I know what you’re thinking: What a cliché! But let me tell you what… Sometimes it happens! Anyways, this young girl couldn’t help her emotions. Some might call it love at first sight, while others call it infatuation.
When someone is feeling down and lonely, getting their heart broken can be enough to drive them over the edge.
The infatuated young girl wanted all of it to end, and so she walked and thought to herself. A part of her mind told her that she had to do the unthinkable in order for all these feelings to go away, but as she was standing over the edge, she realised that at the end of the day, he wasn’t worth her life.
She chose to burn their photograph, and to let the grace of time heal her broken soul — but if she had to do it all over again, she probably would.
