Early Life

At the tender age of seven, Jasmar started showing an interest in music and developed a passion for singing, after watching his mother perform on stage in local singing competitions. Since then, he has been competing and performing locally and has also represented his country in several competitions in Italy.

During Jasmar’s teenage years, as his voice started to change and develop, he started struggling with depression and as a result, he dropped out of secondary school and even stopped singing for some time.

At the age of twelve, Jasmar started to find comfort in writing his own songs and later on started also directing and producing his own music videos.

Later on in life, he continued school and successfully graduated from post-secondary at GEM16+.

2018 has been quite an exciting year for Jasmar. On June 11th, he released his fourth single Hadd Ma Jaf from his upcoming debut album Journey To Freedom.

In July 2018, he auditioned for the first season of X Factor Malta and managed to make it through the Judges’ auditions to Bootcamp with three yeses alongside 119 other contestants.
For the first challenge of Bootcamp, Jasmar and the other male contestants had to sing the hit song See You Again by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. With this performance, he managed to convince the judges and went through to the next phase of Bootcamp. During the second challenge, he sang the track Jealous Guy by John Lennon with Anna Faniello, Janice Mangion and Jade Vella. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it through this round and was sent home.
